The history of Almetyevsk State Oil Institute (ASOI) comes back to the Educational Consultation Office which was opened on the base of the Moscow Oil Institute named after I.M.Gubkin in 1956. In 1958 ECO acquired the status of the Extra - mural (corresponding) Department of the Moscow Institute of oil and gas a year later it became the Tatar Evening Department of the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry named after I.M.Gubkin. AOSI trains specialists for oil and gas industry in 6 faculties on 10 specialties : - OILl AND GAS WELLl - DRILLING; - exploitation of oil and gas deposits; - designing, construction and exploitation of oil and gas pipelines and oil and gas holders; - technology of mechanical engineering; - machinery of oil and gas deposits; - electric drive and automation of industrial installations and technological complexes; - automation of technological processes and productions; - industrial heat and power engineering; - economics and management of enterprises (in oil and gas industry) - economics of labor.
