the rabbit theory is a three-headed and six legged robot, fighting for hope aganist windmills, idiocy and frustration with pounding drums, a sharp but nonetheless roaring guitar, deep and heavy bass and scarsely sung/shouted vocals. call it math-rock with an indie-edge. call it indierock with a post-rock edge. call it post-hc from the sunny side. facing a renewed trend towards non-sustainability and carelessness, their songs deal a alot with these topics, of course. however, the occasional introspective piece occurs as well.
so far, the rabbit theory recorded 6 songs d.i.y. at a renowned zurich underground offspace some time around february 2005 at barely 4 degrees. it's available for download on their website. in november 2005, another 7 songs were recorded d.i.y. at the rehearsal space , mixed in a studio whose name they forgot by robi alexander and mastered by andreas tilliander @ repeatle studios in stockholm, sweden. 2 songs were released on 28.1.2006 as part of a limited and handnumbered split-7" with Dying In Motion (zh) on quiet records (qr.016-7, 200 pcs), , 4 songs of the session ended up on a handnumbered and limited CD-R EP (qr.017-CDR, 50 pcs, sold out) distribution deal was secured with ape must not kill ape. in september 2006 the rabbit theory will record a film score for an animated movie by zurich-based artist christian eberhard. around 7 songs will be recorded later on and released on 1) a sampler for/by ape must not kill ape records, 2) a d.i.y. tape compilation for/by a munich-based label 3) for a split 12" with friends pete the pirate squid from dresden, berlin, malmö.
the rabbit theory played odd 20 shows in 1.5 years of playing live. in july 2006 they successfully d.i.y.-toured in germany and belgium for 10 days. (meaning: we still play together and actually like it...)

things we don't like:
idiots. ignorant idiots (I guess that's already included in idiots, anyway), greed, totalitarianism in ANY way, multinational companies that don't care, privatisation of common goods and in general, money as a whole and its effect on the way people treat people and the world. some of us don't like the idea of animals being tortured and killed for a little bit of appetite.
